We don't control what others do, Maytee has the option of not reading and/or telling people she's not interested in knowing what's being said. She's an adult who has free will, if it's truly so upsetting, don't read, it's as simple as that.

Personally, I think she enjoys the attention. She returns day after day to read & then proceeds to respond to what she reads. When it comes to the internet, I don't go places I'm not interested in, no one makes me do anything I don't want to do online, I'm in control & so is everyone else who sits in front of their monitor or smartphone.
