Just some thoughts..... I don't know much about alarm systems & panic buttons but if there were a panic button would a master bedroom closet be a likely place for one? Also if there were a panic button in the master closet, what are the odds that LS wasn't able to push it? IF it was even functional.... there's a possibility that the security alarm wires were cut right? Would that also effect the panic button?
My theory that I've stated once before & I'm sticking to for now, is that I believe it's possible that Johnny/Lisa or both directed the perps to the master bedroom, hoping to gain some distance to escape or summon help.
The panic button is on the alarm its self
If they had more than one ALARM PAD they could of push it
It looks like they didn't make it and if it was cut it wouldn't work
I would think they would have maybe 2 one in the MB and KIT. OMB
