ANY felony committed with a firearm in the state of Ohio requires a MANDATORY 3 year sentence for a gun specification. This 3 years is over and above the sentence for the felony charge, robbery in this case.

Here's how it really went. Originally Johnny "did" receive a 3-year sentence. However, with the help of his family all writing letters to the judge about him changing his lifesttyle and has found god...He was released after just a year. The day that Johnny got out-his mom and dad rented a hotel room and invited all of his friend thugs to come and celebrate his release. It was a night filled with heavy booze and dope. Johnny had been clean for a year until hours after he was release-thanks to the help of his loving parents. If he would have actually done the entire 3-years as he was sentenced: he would still be alive because he would be in prison. In Lucas county it is very easy to get an early release from a judge.
