Are you splitting hairs over whether the comments, including yours, were an ethnic slur rather than a racist slur?

I'm not splitting any hairs. Roma and Travellers are not a race but tribes. The Roma have the reputation they do not because their victims are liars but because it's true. Of course, that's a generalization, as is saying anything about any GROUP. People are not hives, they are individuals, and some leave those ways. There are some things about stereotypes that are true, though. If that makes you uncomfortable hearing it, I suggest you ignore it. You have a politically correct view of the world, I do not.
