You're probably right LC, I'm probably overly optimistic. I still think even a hardened criminal might be changed by discovering his son and his son's girlfriend dead and bagged. It's enough to make ANY sane person stop and take a look at their life and what they have left. If anything could make a person get their act together and walk the straight and narrow, I'd think this would be it.
We know his wife hasn't taken stock and decided to better herself or her life - she's just going off the rails on the crazy train. For the children's sake, I'm hoping that Mr. Clarke is trying to do better (but I won't be disillusioned if he's not).
