Hairy: Is the determination of being tried as an adult or a juvenile based on the age of the person at the crime was committed (rather than when they're arrested)? Can the DA try some under-aged criminals as adults if the case warrants it?
me: yes, it is based on the age of person at time of crime.
as we have seen in many cases, juveniles are tried as adults and given very adult sentences, like LWOP. one example would be lionel tate in florida.
