Lot of possible scenarios. I don't want to disparage the victims, but it crossed my mind that they could have been involved in the robbery and wanted to avoid suspicion. Maybe they were only supposed to be taped up when found, but the killers got what they wanted from the house (or not) and took it a step further after the victims were bound.
No enemies, no drugs, probably no real arrest record (maybe his identity was stolen like momma's). Bullshit The list of potential suspects within his circle of friends and associates is probably long,
