I've been on crime message boards since 1996 and have interacted with lots of friends and family of the missing and murdered. These people (who are themselves victims) have always been thoughtful and civil. They have sometimes gotten upset when there is speculation about other family members or on factors in the victims' lives that may have put them in contact with the "wrong" people. I (and others) have advised these friends and family members to stop reading the boards if it upsets them. I'd give that advice to Maytee as well.

I have never encountered anyone like Maytee. I have lost my compassion for her, but have great compassion (and fear for) her two young sons.
