Pursuant to R. 12 of the Rules of Superintendence for the
Courts of Ohio and Local Rule 9.01, the following are the
conditions for broadcasting and photographing court
proceedings in this matter:

1.One portable television camera with one operator,
appropriately dressed, shall be
permitted in the courtroom. Fox Toledo News will be the
media representative authorized to cover the proceedings
and shall be responsible for the pooling of equipment to
meet the broadcast needs of all other television stations.
Fox Toledo News shall provide the plugs and sound mixer,
with all other stations providing their own deck. Each
station participating in the pooling shall have
at least one employee in the courtroom. If Fox Toledo
News removes the camera
from the courtroom at any time during the trial, the court
reserves the right
to replace or remove cameras from the proceeding. If
disputes arise over
arrangements between and among media representatives, the
Court
reserves the right to replace or exclude all media
representatives from the proceedings.

2.One still photographer, appropriately dressed, shall be
permitted to
photograph court proceedings. The Toledo Blade will be
the media representative authorized to take still
photographs in the courtroom
and shall be responsible for the pooling of equipment to
meet the needs of
other print media.

3.The positioning of all broadcast and photography
representatives in the
courtroom shall be determined by the Judge and in the
hallways by the
Court Deputies Department.

4.At no time will filming, videotaping, recording or
taking photographs of jurors
be permitted. Further at no time will victims and/or
witnesses be filmed,
videotaped, recorded or photographed without the express
consent of the victim
and/or witness.

5.At no time shall there be an audio pickup or broadcast
of conferences
conducted in court between the court and counsel or
between the client and
counsel.

6.Media representatives shall not be permitted to transmit
or record anything
other than the court proceedings from the courtroom while
the court is in session.

7.Because jurors may not be filmed nor their responses
audio recorded, the jury
voir dire shall not be filmed or recorded in any way.

This order shall be subject to future revision and may be
rescinded if there is a determination that the broadcast
and/or photographing of the proceedings distract the
participants, impair the dignity of the proceedings or
otherwise materially interfere with the achievement of a
fair trial.
