Ok, good one. But then someone else is subduing Johnny and Lisa while these two look around? They brought tape, after all, so aren't looking for that. You'd think a garage would have a wealth of weaponry -- but then so would a kitchen. Dunno.
I do wonder what the official theory is. Having a hard time seeing these guys as the brains behind the whole ordeal.
