That has got to be one of the strongest statements I have ever heard a Judge say in sentencings!
It is obvious that the Judge bought non of the defense counsel's attempts at mitigation.
A triumph for both families today, but as others have said more arrests are likely, so the prospect of going through all this again must be awful. I sincerely hope that William's conviction does bring some peace to the families.
As far as the picture of "gottaway" and his brother goes, perhaps someone should send a copy of it to Sam and ask for his reaction! Its a shame he wasn't smoking a cigarette (no offense intended here) just to give it extra irony and complete the gottaway-with-it tone it depicts.
