Sam was arrested the same day that they took the cheek swab. So where did they get the DNA to make a match?
I would like to know as well when they both originally provided DNA which was "hit"....awhile into Cameo's arrest interrogation they told him they hit on his DNA and then asked for a swab to verify - which he did without hesitation. It was pretty clear during his interrogation he thought they were just trying to get him to "give up" more info on Sam, didn't even occur to him during bulk of the interview that they were actually accusing him too.
