No amount of crazy behavior will ever change the fact that Maytee's horrible parenting was a contributing factor in what happened to her son. The overwhelming guilt, rage, and sorrow are certainly a product of her loss... but they are also deeply rooted in her subconscious which is recognizing that HER life choices affected her child as he grew.
The company she kept and exposed her son to helped send him on the path to being around the wrong people... because growing up he learned from MAYTEE that the wrong people were ok. So he became one of the wrong people, and was a criminal like his Mom.
That poor sweet girl had the complete and utter misfortune to know her son, and he ended up getting her killed. It's not a wonder Maytee has lost her mind, because somewhere in there she must recognize that this innocent girl ended up entangled in the fucked up world that is her shitty life.
Maybe she had some fantasy that Lisa could save her little boy, and give him the morality that she was never able to provide? If Maytee had any semblance of decency, she would have warned Lisa and told her to run as fast as she could away from her son... but Maytee's selfishness would never allow that. Instead she let Lisa be in a dangerous world that Maytee's family condoned, and led her right to slaughter with her own son.
But by all means Maytee should continue to shake her fist at the sky and keep tweeting her threats... as if that is going to assuage the fathomless guilt she must feel for having being such a complete failure as a mother and human being.
No amount of theatrics or distraction will persuade people to not look squarely for the biggest reason this all happened:
MAYTEE and HER failure to raise HER son properly.
