TOLEDO, Ohio (WNWO) — Toledo Police detectives are now investigating this morning’s shooting as a homicide.
The victim is identified as 30-year-old Anthony Watson who was found by police inside his residence at 1938 Macomber suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to Promedica Toledo Hospital where he was pronounced dead
.Shortly before noon Wednesday 9-1-1 received a call from a man stating he had been shot in the leg.
Detectives believe Watson was shot while standing behind 1938 Macomber then retreated into his apartment at the same address.
Detectives continue to gather evidence and are seeking the community’s assistance.
No suspect(s) are in custody at this time.
