In response to an earlier post by Duchess, I gather they don't have bridesmaids like we do here (at least in the royal family) and it's traditional for the women in the wedding party to wear white.
Di's dress (by today's standards) looks fugly to me but that was back in the early 80's where shoulder pads and such were all the rage.
I liked her dress today. It was a tiny bit boring to me but I also understand you can't really bare arms there--I think she did a good job of mixing tradition with hawt. She wore a little bit too much make-up; made her look older than her years IMO.
