I just wish you could have eaten it right out of the oven instead of having it shipped. Having to store it in a tight container takes away that 'crispiness' the filo has when it's fresh.
Don't feel bad, I've got a tray of "soggy" baklava too. I am paying Dave next door with some for borrowing his lawn mower and Patty across the street smelled it and emailed me with threats of TP'ing my tree if I didn't give her some.
I'll be lucky to have three pieces left after my neighbors get through with me!
Just so you know, mine are not dripping in syrup too - You'll be able to taste it now instead of sugar water.
