I remember watching him play when I was younger - and so many times he played against his kid Mark when they played the Flyers.
If my mother didn't go to the restaurant every friggin day I'd be up there all the time hoping he comes in again!
My brother made him feel good though I think. He talked hockey to him, and every time he said, "You were the guy no one would mess with!" and all kinds of stuff reminiscing of Gordie's days on the ice, Gordie would brighten up and smile from ear to ear.
He told him how me and him used to go to hockey games in NYC at the Garden to watch the Flyers play - Gordie said, "You guys were brave!" and bro got a chuckle out of that and said, "You ain't kidding!"
