Well shit. My daughter told me today she wants to kiss somebody. She said she's heading in to 8^th grade and she googled it and most kids have had their first kiss by age 11. Fucking google.

I gave her the be picky speech blah, blah but...shit. I'm not quite sure what to do with that nugget of information.

Buy her some condoms and make her an appointment at your favorite obgyn.

We also talked about pot and how many kids at school are smoking it. She said she's not interested but I asked her if she would tell me if she tried it. She said "well, duh...of course; I wouldn't try and hide it".

Scratching my head over that one. Does she think I'm going to congratulate her or something?

Weird. Interesting age though IMO.

Good for her/you. You're fortunate that she trusts you implicitly. That'll make hard times easier. You must have done something right.
