This is what Gabriel looked like when he was taken to the hospital, after at least 8 months of beatings, being shot repeatedly with a pellet gun in the groin, forced to eat cat feces, and locked handcuffed in a closet.

Gabriel was brain dead from the abuse when he arrived at the hospital. His skull had been cracked.

There was nothing the doctors or nurses could do for him. Gabriel was so desperately failed by the Department of Child Services. DCS visited and investigated the home several times before Gabriel's death, after calls from concerned individuals who'd reported suspected child abuse. They left him in that hell hole every single time.
