Eddie's sound on his solo's was unique when they burst on the scene in the late 70's
He's still right at the top of my favorite guitarists.
So yesterday, I mentioned how I'd discovered that The Rockford Files is on Netflix.
Last night, I dug in for a Rockford marathon.
I watched the first 2 episodes and then started another. I noticed in that one, that there were several scenes from Sunset Blvd, where of course I just visited for the first time in October.
There's a nightclub in one scene with a sign out front called Garrazzi's (or something like it). So I google it to see if it's still there.
I find out that it WAS one of the biggest clubs from the LA music scene in the 70's and 80's and that Van Halen essentially got their start RIGHT THERE.
The club has been gone since 1996 or so.
Funny how some shit works.
