@ramseycat, I don't disagree with your sentiment. It would be great if there was a way to stop these mass murderers and spree killers. Possibly, the continued research into brain scanning for abnormalities will help in the future? Or, maybe some of these perpetrators are just evil by choice or get set off by some common triggers that can be better detected in the future?
IDK. But I do know that it's not an "American" issue, it's a problem worldwide. Murderous nut jobs everywhere, no doubt about it.

I hope Holmes is talking. Maybe investigators can get some sense of "why" from his skewed perspective and learn more. Probably won't help the families of these victims much in dealing with their losses, I expect, but understanding what the hell this guy was thinking might help in some small way.
