An Atheist that celebrates the Birth of Christ to any degree is all I really need, but then add that it's tothe point of fully decorating, eating, and exchanging gifts in celebration of Jesus (which is exactly what the daughter is being allowed/guided to embrace and why they are doing it in reality) isshamefully hypocriticaland quite possibly indicative of some literalballs & chainson you ...if we are going to use, asa scale,deeming the Agnostic (not minding sharing a tradition with someone)as"pussy-whipped and hypocritical." Even though all the years before he was married he still chose to do that family tradition for the other benefits (like, seeing relatives I haven't seen ina while). Why mustan Agnosticpretend to be offended or feel weak because their kids want to do an Egg Hunt on Easter?
I'm not anti-celebration - I don't care if someone celebrates in every possible holiday or tradition known to man as a hobby. My principles don't include moronic adherence to principles in some specific, purest form that can't be adapted to real life situations. My Agnostic view doesn't include "never step foot in a holy house" or "nevercelebrate the faith of others."I'd like to celebrate more crap and have more fun to be honest, so why thehell would I look to cut out fun for my family so that I can feel like a purebar of dove principle soap, or whatever yoursissy-mary ass is picturing.
We alsothink it is important to show the kids unity as much as possible. I don't need to be a baby about it and stay home, then get picked up to go out to breakfast with them like I am some radical purist. That's a pussy move that you would do, hamster boy.You'd get picked up like the angry bitch that you are.
If youfeel that you must stay away from all religiously-related events, parties, trees, eating, etc. to "stay true" to your principles and not be pussy-whipped or hypocritical, thenyou should be blatantly refusing to have a Christmas tree in your house, refusing gift exchanges or giving, refusing the traditional meal, refusing any cards,bonuses, tips, items, or anything else connected with Christmas or any other Holiday that has religion involved.*
