George Sayers, Tiffany Hartford, Accused Of Incest After DNA Test Shows They Have A Son
A one-time aspiring porn actress and her father were accused of incest, following a months long investigation into their twisted relationship.
Authorities said a DNA test shows George Sayers, 46, and Tiffany Hartford, 23, of Bethel, Conn. are father and daughter. The couple also has a child together, according to the The News-Times.
The News Times reports the police investigation started in February after Hartford's ex-girlfriend told police Sayers was selling images of the former couple having sex. The photos had been taken with Hartford and the teen's consent, but the girl said she did not give Sayers permission to sell them.
WISTV reports that the ex-girlfriend was introduced to Sayers by Hartford as her "husband/father," according to court documents.
After the DNA tests came back, the couple was charged with sexual assault and obscenity and arrested on Monday.
The Associated Press reports that it's unclear if either Hartford or Sayers has a lawyer.

Creepy for sure, but I'm not sure how I feel about it being illegal when they're both adults - if it's proven to be a truly consensual relationship.
It's unfortunate that the incest didn't come to authorities attention when she was a child, if it started then (seems likely). Under those circumstances, legal intervention could have afforded her options for a different lifestyle.
Hope the little boy ends up in a good home.

Just being honest.
Its creepy as hell and I certainly don't advocate incest, but I'm not sure the answer is incarceration for two adults. The damage is done for the adult daughter who chooses to be with her father and the child already exists. Possibly social services, with counseling, mandates and monitoring such that the father and daughter not have an intimate/sexual relationship should be put in place.
I also don't support adultery or consensual sodomy being illegal, and they were for a long time. Nor do I think that voluntary prostitution for adults should be illegal. I really don't like the government regulating what consenting adults do with their bodies on the whole. I can see it being illegal to bring another life into it, but that's not what they're being arrested for. They're being arrested for having sex with each other because it's "obscene", if I understand the charges properly.
Didn't mean to freak anybody out, just think it's a complex issue and not sure that what may end up being minimal jail time is a better solution or future deterrent than something more therapeutic and reform-oriented in nature; to me it's literally sick what they've chosen to do.
Just my apparently very unique opinion and uncertainty in the matter.

It's very creepy. I don't think it's funny at all, but I laugh at a lot of things that others probably don't, so I get it.

I was honestly caught off guard for a second by yours and other replies to my original comment here last night. His parents are losers based on the info released and I have no qualms about them rotting in jail if they are charged/convicted based on dad's ex-girlfriend's claims and other crimes uncovered during LE's investigation.
Just to be clear, my opinion remains firm and unchanged regarding any form of sexual activity between adults and children, along with non-consensual sex perpetuated by one adult on another. These sex crimes should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, and the victims/survivors should be assisted by all means possible…

I'd never thought about consensual incest before reading this story and researching a bit; below are more details regarding the legal ramifications and how they apply to this story, for those interested.
Where is consensual incest legal?
Rhode Island, New Jersey, and Ohio (only daddy dearest would be breaking the law there). If these two winners in the OP lived in most parts of Europe, they also would not be charged with a crime – there are old laws on the books, but consensual incest is no longer prosecuted. Turkey – not a crime. Argentina – not a crime. Brazil – not a crime. Australia – not a crime under Federal statute (though regional prohibitions exist in some areas and vary drastically). Netherlands – not a crime. China - not a crime. The list goes on… While adult incest is discouraged by society in these places (and may result in some counseling or psychological consultation being administered if reported) authorities don’t arrest people for engaging in activity considered to be taboo.
What are the legal penalties and restrictions against consensual incest elsewhere?
The penalties, sexual acts, and ntimate blood relations (parental, sibling, cousin, etc..) that are prohibited by law in places where consensual incest is fully/partially illegal vary drastically, including in the US. There is a lot of inconsistency and uncertainty surrounding if/how to address consensual incest from a legal perspective within and across regions.
JMO - Inbreeding
In some places where consensual incest is legal, marriage between close blood relatives is not; likely in order to minimize inbreeding, imo. I was unable to find any specific laws relating to inbreeding, but I think that's the point at which consensual incest should possibly become a crime. Children born of close blood relations are much more likely to be born with severe abnormalities and serious conditions. Thus, by electing to reproduce, the consensual incest is no longer victimless, imo.

Meh, there are a shit ton of socially unacceptable things going on at any given time. I'm too busy to care about any of it. Self righteous do gooders & busy bodies with their holier than thou attitudes have a great deal of time on their hands to involve themselves in the lives of others, I have a bigger problem with them than I do adults having what I may think is inappropriate sex.

Ahhhh! I found the source of the recent discord that I've sensed between what I heretofore considered soul mates.
I get what HotD is saying and it caused me to go look up laws regarding cousins having sex/marrying. Many states have laws against cousins marrying (of course, it's legal in California). I'm not sure if it's a crime though in the states that don't allow marriage.
Anyway, typically I don't care what two consenting adults do either but because of the inbreeding aspect, I'm a-okay with incest remaining illegal. If they were both adults and agreed to some forced sterilization, I wouldn't care.
I do imagine though that this started when she was much younger. The father is a pig.
