Well, I hope you expanded that home-schooling lesson by advising them not to play hide-and-seek inside the woodchipper, and not to use the electric saw to cut their bangs.....and other household "tool" safety practices.
I taught my daughter not to lift her bangs when cutting but instead to cut straight across. I taught her that the hard way by lifting her bangs and cutting them (with scissors) and leaving a jagged, unholy mess.
I came home one day and my husband had my then almost 3 y/o's out in the yard with him. My son was running around with one of these in his hand:
I snatched it from him and almost poked my husband's eye out with it. He didn't think it was a big deal. Men are stoopid and Sanctuary Cities are stoopid.
