No doubt there are some darwin award contestants in that bunch. I am pretty sure ALL gun "accidents" are committed by idiots that do something Stupid. I think they should be called "Stupids" instead of accidents. I can't speak for anyone else but If I had been using a rubber gun for demos during a class, same as this guy blah, blah...I might be the weird one here, but when I reach for a tool, weapon, whatever...I expect a particular tactile feel when I touch it whether I am looking at it or not. The slightest thing that is off about that contact sets off an alarm in my head and I stop and deal with it. I can also just Not see ever a time or place that I would "forget" that I had just swapped weapons...WTF? This guy is a dumbass.
The other guy, I would Love to see the webcam footage..It is quite clear that he violated rule #1 and pointed the thing at himself for what the fuck ever reason. I handle a couple of my guns every fucking day and I just cannot see this being me.
There is no denying the fact that there will be some idiots slipping into the ranks of us "Responsible, Trained" gun owners, I don't have a solution for that. All I can do is my best to make sure that me and mine do it correctly.
