I don't see how he can be convicted of anything less than culpable manslaughter given the facts and his confession, there's no self-defense option in play here.
But, I can see his defense team looking to mitigate his actions and minimize his punishment with a PTSD defense or something like that.
IDK, I sure hope he pays and it seems to me that the SA authorities are pursuing it vigorously, but stranger things than Pistorius walking have happened.
