Pieter Baba, the Silverwood security guard on duty the night of the killing, testified today. It was difficult to understand the translator at points, but really compelling testimony.
Baba testified about how the security patrol works at the estates. He's a shift leader for the estate guards.
On the morning in question, one of the guards on bikes had heard shots and reported in to Baba - about 2:55. Baba went to check it out and saw Dr. Stipp on his balcony across from Pistorius' house. All the lights were on at Pistorius' house and Stipp pointed Baba there.
Baba called Pisotrius from outside the house and Pistorius told him "everything is fine".
While Baba was outside Pistorius' house , Pistorius' friend and the manager of the estates Mr. Stander (and his daughter) arrived and rushed to the door - Baba knew something was wrong. He followed Stander in as Pistorius came down the stairs carrying Reeva. Baba said he was so shocked he couldn't even think for a few moments because he'd been told everything was fine.
Roux started cross-examination of Baba and court was adjourned for the weekend.
