THE WHITE QUEEN

OP (or anyone else), do you know anything about this series? I just watched a promo for it & it looks similar to Game Of Thrones. It starts here tomorrow night. I read that two versions were made, one for the UK and one for the US which is more sexually explicit than the UK version.

Its okay but its no Game of Thrones, my mothers read the books and starting watching it but she wasn't impressed and neither was i ,my wife still watches it and enjoys it though.

I don't see how the US version could be anymore sexually explicit than the UK version unless in the US version the actors actually have sex on camera like a porno film. The UK version is wall to wall constant shagging.

I don't know either, I was just going by what I read.

Do you get to see bared breasts in your television commercials over there?

In commercials?, no.

On network television after 9 PM? Hell yeah! And the rest! This is the land of Queer as Folk and Skins! If I was watching network TV after 9 PM and I didn't see at least one sex scene, one brutal murder and at least half a dozen uses of the word “fuck” I would feel cheated!

You don't have sex or swearing on network TV over there do you?

They don't seem to be too bothered about violence though?

I think I would be more bothered if my daughter had seen someone being shot in the face than if she heard someone say “fuck” or she saw a bare titty.

Some people damn near stroked out when they saw Janet Jackson's titty.

There are a few cuss words but they are VERY soft, like bitch for example.

There is a mothers group that patrols shows for indecency. *snicker*

You can see a pair of tits on page 3 of The Sun tabloid newspaper everyday here, there are some feminist whingers vocal about it but in general nobody gives a shit. Pair of tits? Meh!

The only shock at the Janet Jackson tit flash in he UK was the tit itself was so flabby and unimpressive!

Programs with sex or violence or swearing always have warnings before them if you don't heed them you have no cause for complaint.

For comedian Frankie Boyles infamous Tramadol Nights TV series it came with the forewarning “this program contains scenes and material that some viewers WILL find offensive”.
