It's finally here, my game day. I'm so nervous I'm nauseous. I haven't read any sports today. Everyone has been so goddamn negative, I can't stand it and I can't stand that I can't relax. I normally don't like wasting time, I think people who do are flawed but this is a wasted day for me. I don't even want anyone to talk to me.

Help.
Don't set your sites too high this year Duchess.

That's what people keep telling me but I can't seem to help that I already have. I get that we have a new coach & new players but we have some veterans too and I have hope. I BELIEVE. Hahaha. I'm crazy today and I just took Maggot's advice given I'm worthless insofar as having a productive day.

Thank you! This is precisely the kind of thing I need to hear today instead of all the negative bullshit.

People trying to squash my hope all over the place. I BELIEVE WE CAN FLY!

Those court mandated CS hours are killer.

Not court ordered. I helped my church make mats for homeless people. You can take plastic bags, the ones you get from Walmart, Price Chopper; and cut them up and weave them into heavy, thick mats.

Later on in the day, I helped make 60 lunches for our town's freshman football team.

Good for you! I was just making a joke anyway... I looked up those mats. How long does it take to make one of those? Seemed like a lot of work...

If only one person makes it, it takes about 2 weeks for one mat. I only cut the bags into strips and wound them into balls, like you would yarn. We left the mat making to the older ladies who like to knit.
