Nice spot. I would require a large shop out back for all the toys and a place to make them in, Wood Shop area, Blacksmithy, Machine shop and garage etc..
Oh, and a distilling shed.

It's lovely as long as it's someplace where 'gators can't come ashore.

It does look serene. Love3

The serenity could be ruined though if there's a similar house right across the water. If I were looking for total serenity I'd want at least a 14 to 12 mile between me and a neighbor. That would be bliss.

Florida has some cool houses. When I visited my sister a few months ago in Fla. I could not help but notice the 2.5 x 12" beams that were bolted together. The exterior walls were 2x10 with special windows and the interior walls were 2x6 old style the real 2" not the 1.5. A hurricane house with dbl everything. The apartment my Mother lives in at ground level was built around 12x12 "stilts" supporting the upper 2 floors, Guide wires 1/2" round are bolted to concrete footings at 6 places around the structure, with ceilings 12 ft and 10 ft tall. A veritable fortress. I have never seen anything like it around N.E. except a huge barn I know of in the middle of the state that is still used to this day.

And yes a canal along side it. My sisters son waterskies out to the lake from there. Gators aren't that bad I guess but you could never convince me of that. I heard them things clicking out there at night.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

I think they are everywhere down there. Of course they aren't but it doesn't keep me from thinking it. I have a picture of one outside my Mom's front door and because it was over a certain size they had to call a 'gator wrangler to come and remove it. I couldn't live like that.

I heard one in the canal out back a couple nights ago, sounded like he was under my neighbors dock. Haven't seen him yet.
His ass will be in the pot if I get a chance at him
