IF THIS WERE YOUR KID
#1

I'm curious to know how you would feel if your kid was named as one of the party goers/vandal.

What's your opinion on the parents who are considering a lawsuit?

Keep in mind these kids posted comments & pix on their accounts, that's how Brian found out what was going on, those kids were bragging.

In a nutshell -

Former New England Patriots player Brian Holloway returned to his New York home to find it in ruins after local kids broke in and caused up to $40,000 in damages

Holloway posted social media photos and messages exchanged by the teens on a site called HelpMeSave300.com

The students documented the chaos extensively over social media, but few fessed up despite the evidence

A legal battle is unfolding as some parents threaten to sue him for naming their kids.

I've been following this story since its local. My kid would be there cleaning up and taking whatever punishment the authorities handed out. They would lose their phone, computer, and driving privileges. No more FB or Twitter. And no way would I be suing the home owner. I would be mortified if my kid acted that way.

I get so sick of seeing parents protect their kids from themselves. How dare they be pissed & considering a lawsuit. Brian wouldn't have the evidence he does if it wasn't for those stupid kids posting on their twitter accounts. Fuck 'em, they don't deserve any courtesy. Their parents should have encouraged them to take responsibility and they should have been made to help with the cleanup.

I agree Duchess. The kids themselves put those pics on the net. What gets me is how stupid the kids were to not only behave this way but to put pics up. And brag about it. The parents don't check their twitter? I'm so disgusted that kids would act this way and then not even be sorry. Kids do stupid things. But to not even be remorseful after they see how their stupidity has hurt someone else is just pathetic.

This is exactly what I'd do!

I get that some kids do stupid shit. I did stupid shit. I suppose my issue is with the parents not making them accept responsibility, they are not doing their kids any favor in the long run.

It's ridiculous to get mad at him if your retarded kids took pictures of themselves trashing the house and then posted it all over the internet. Of course I would make them accept responsibility for it.

Ditto.

To add insult to injury, the homeowner has to defend himself against a frivolous lawsuit? That is SO fucked up.

Countersuing the parents for not keeping a leash on their crotch spawn and thus promoting a public menace would seem to be called for.
Course I am a treacherous kinda guy, there would be other consequences to those involved if they didn't make it right

As an insurance agent, I am mortified that not only will his insurance likely have to pay some of these damages as well as possibly defend him in the lawsuit, but more than anything it PI$$es me off that these idiots parents will likely be the same type that are a total PIA when the rates raise overall.

If my Stepdaughter had been part of this, especially if pictures were involved, I would beat her within an inch of her life and then make her go cut his grass with a pair of scissors!
