Hows that going? I think I only owe about 200.00 this year , That's good because I put away about 800.00
I'm kinda interested in how other countries do theirs. CN, Crash, Aussie, Mo? Any others I missed? Do you pay every quarter?

Are you talking about income tax, property taxes, state taxes or city taxes ? Maybe tax on taxes !

Income tax and my national insurance contribution is taken directly from my monthly pay by the government.

My self employed wife has to do her own taxes and it is a complex drawn out nightmare to calculate.

I've been an independent contractor since about 2003 so I have to do my own and it is a pain in the ass.
Course I deduct every penny from every trip to home depot, every drop of fuel, every mile etc...

I think I might try deducting energy efficient shades this year.

I'm one of those guys who allows the government to hold my money for the year and then I file my taxes and get a nice sizable refund.

I've been chastised for doing it that way, but I enjoy getting a lump sum dumped into my checking account.

My tax appt is next Wednesday.

I was always telling my wife to prepare earlier before the deadline and she never did and it pissed me off because she got so stressed so the last couple of years I've given her a hand.

I hate going through spreadsheets and receipts and payrolls but if its going to lower her stress levels I don't mind.
