I'm willing to bet a kidney you wouldn't fail.

l try and participate in my loved ones' lives to eliminate potential, future regrets.

Inevitably, I usually find something was left off the list.

You'll never devolve into a Maytee.

And it's Duchess' left kidney I've put on the table . . . to cover my wager.

Hi Tiki!

You're right; I wouldn't lose my shit or go crazy -- I just might be eternally heartbroken.

Not sure I'd ever be able to reconcile the loss of one of the children -- in my heart and mind -- like I have with a parent and grandparents, as a tough but expected part of life.

P.s. High stakes wager; appreciate the confidence. Duchess still has two of those suckers anyway -- she hasn't had a home-cooked meal at sally's house yet.

Wait a minute!...

Are you banking on me going bonkers, or are you banking on finagling a gourmet meal outta sal?

You're too pulled together to ever go bonkers. I'm counting on a home cooked meal at Sally's house. I won't just wave at her exit next time, I'll take it.

We'll pick her up on our road-trip...after she cooks us the best meal of our lives.

Awesome plan. We'll wait for just the right moment to spring it on Sally. She'll be delighted!

If I could get sally to cook for me...

I'd request eggs benedict (or biscuits and gravy), crab cakes, hashed-browns (or crispy home-fries with onions and peppers), a spicy Bloody Mary double shot, a cup of coffee and a big glass of ice water.

I would try to talk her out of taking a kidney as payment, though -- would rather keep the spare just in case somebody in my family needed it some day. I'd offer up a toe or two and try to negotiate from there.

If you offer up some toes, you'll never be able to wear sandals again. Give Sally a 12 pack. A sturdy 13 pack.

I've seen her talk about sandwiches too. She doesn't just make them, she builds them.

I drank and ate so much yesterday I don't even want to think about food or beer. The good thing is I don't have a hangover because all the food absorbed the alcohol.
