Happy birthday, Teacher!

May your day be filled with fond memories . . . when you could smack a student and get away with the deed!

Happy Birthday!

I suspect that you were a great teacher in the classroom, and remain a constant inspiration to your children and your new grand-baby in the school of life.

Have an A+ day, Teacher.

I loved almost all of my teachers. The nuns were a little scary but later when I was allowed to go to public school I developed a relationship with most of them. I thought they were fun & interesting and that's how they approached teaching. I give them thought now & then more than I ever did before I would see Teacher's name in here.

Teacher, how was your birthday -- did you do anything fun?

I celebrated for you here last night. 50

Hope you had your cake and got to eat it too.

Well, I'll be darned! My birthday was yesterday, wasn't it? Guess Maggot was right - memory is the first to go. Wonder what else I have forgotten?

Yep, another year older. Hard to believe I've been around this long and have had such a blessed life. Nothing I would change except to have had more children (more grandchildren) and to have had an even longer teaching career.

Actually, HotD, my birthday was celebrated throughout the month of May. Starting with Mother's Day (btw my first baby was born on Mother's day - best MDay gift I ever received), and my husband's b-day is also in May. We basically celebrated our birthdays together - taking off for a week of old-age fun out of state. Great time. Yesterday was wonderful also. We old folks took off for the day and returned home at 3:30 a.m. Getting ready to take off for about 3-4 days this week if all goes as planned.

Thanks all of you for the wishes - really surprised me since I removed my birthdate from my profile about 2 years ago. Crash had to go and find it. Old

I think you're the only one in here who views you as old.

Only the body is old. In my mind I can't possibly be more than 35. Truth!

Sounds like a lot of fun, Teacher.

Have a great trip (and post from the road, if you get a chance).
