Fuckin A--I killed half my house plants! I always put them out on Memorial day weekend, now they're all brown and dead.

No on the woodstove, thanks to the crappy long ass winter we had, I have no dry wood left. Had a grapple delivered 2 weeks ago, going to be having a cutting & splitting party this weekend.

I had a bunch of cabinet doors I hated to throw away but used them last night to get the chill out. I dont think there was a frost so my garden should be OK.

Hey Cannongal -- good to see you today.

Hope you're feeling well, and curious as to what's cooking with your crafts projects and business and such.

Catch us up, if you feel like it.

Things are ok, it was bumpy for a while, healthwise-but I think I'm good now Smiley_emoticons_smile

Trying to open up a business ended up being a no go with the town. Every time they came out for an inspection, it was somebody different, and they all had different idea's as to what codes had to be followed. We decided to call it quits after we were told to level off half the back yard and pave it. They seemed to think I'd need parking for 50 cars or some shit-I don't know.

I decided to lease a partnership at a gallery 2 towns over. The place is already established and I don't have to deal with any red tape. All the expenses, expectations and requirements are laid out in the contract, so, hopefully I do well.

I've been experimenting with glass fusion lately. I think I'm in love. Trying to convince the hubs to let me buy a digital controller for the kiln. Glass fusing requires more precise temperatures then firing clay does.

I'm glad you're feeling better, Cannongal.

Leasing a partnership seems much less a pain-in-the-ass than taking on all of the requirements and regulations associated with establishing and owning a business.

There's not as much control I'm sure, but the cost (not just financially) of full control is often overrated, and the benefit of lower overhead is often underrated (in my experience).

Anyway, I hope you get the digital controller and hope the lease partnership turns out to be fun and successful for you.

P.s. Post some project pics if you get a minute; it's fun looking at them.
