I can't discuss it on a public forum on the grounds that it may incriminate me.

I was a secret shopper for movie theaters. I'd get to see a movie for free. Get a free popcorn and soda. And get paid $20. I just had to complete paperwork with questions about the theater and staff and send it in.

I put seeds in the corners of corn rows (they were 6-8 feet wide in the corners 6-7 rows in) and at the end of the summer harvested enough to buy a new motorcycle.

Hey, I am a secret shopper too. Really. I do not do theaters, but do a lot of grocery stores, get reimbursement on groceries. Went and got ice cream the other day to, will get paid back for that too.

Proofreading Japanese-to-English translations of technical manuals.

The Japanese company paid by the word.

I learned a lot about their products and made some good cash.

I was once solicited to be a "Secret shopper" but it turned out to be a scam. They sent me snail mail and asked if I'd be interested in being a secret shopper at Best Buy, Walmart, and some other store during Christmas shopping season. I replied back and they sent me a phony travelers check for 300 bucks. Being the skeptic I am I had my bank check it out to see if it was legit before I tried to deposit it. The bank said I would have been liable for the money if I had deposited it, so secret shoppers beware.

BG1, I got one of those too. Before getting this job. Sad thing is, there are people out there who will always get sucked in my the scams, and it does make it hard for the legitimate agencies to find workers.
Even the agency I work for has gotten reported to rip-off.com, or whatever that site is. When I read the reports, it is from people who got pissed when they did not get paid for a job they did not do correctly. I have been doing this about 4 years, and every once in a blue moon I get a job invalidated because I made a reporting error, or shopped on the wrong day or time frame. A couple of times I have been able to get them to allow me to re-do the job, but some times I have had to suck it up and loose the paycheck

What company do you work for QB? Maybe they have jobs in ATL.

I would love to do it again. Or do the grocery store one. Free movies or free groceries is good stuff.

I was in my mid twenties and got laid-off from my job. I went and filled out some apps and somebody sued a company for discrimination for paying their female workers less than the men.

I got a settlement for $3,000 for filling out an application. The girl that filed the lawsuit got 48,000.

I applied. I did not enter my bank account and routing numbers though. I really don't want this to be a scam and have my bank account cleaned out. If I get hired, then I will provide that info for direct deposit.
