I've always found Wicca to be interesting and something I'd like to pursue further, but most of the people online that purport to be followers have all been flakes and weirdos. That 'blessed be' bullshit at the end of every post annoys the hell out of me.I agree. The 'blessed be' thing is irritating. Mostly because it's like they feel they MUST put it there. The same way scientologists feel they have to say ARC! (It stands for 'Affinity - Reality - Communication' and is supposed to be the 'formula' which leads to 'understanding'), or the way many fanatics think they have to say 'God Bless!' every time they say something.
I spent a little time at a wiccan commune in Indiana (called Lothlorien - not sure if it still exists)*. Some of them were very cool people, but I find that most people who really are intelligent, 'outgrow' wicca eventually.
