Do you give them? Are you able to accept them gracefully?

Don't be an empty compliment giving person. Grrr.

I'm more comfortable giving compliments than receiving them, but neither is a big deal.

Empty compliments are sometimes fun, when they're clearly delivered with sarcasm. But, flattery typically gets you nowhere with me.

My favorite kind of compliments are the ones people bestow upon themselves in the course of conversation. Those always make me laugh, which people tell me comes from having such an amazing sense of humor. Awink

I can give a compliment. I get embarrassed getting them. One of my friends is trying to fix me up with this guy she works with and she told him I'm really beautiful. I asked why she said that. She said Cuz it's true. Uh huh.

When someone gets a new hair do or outfit that I don't really dig, I just say it's looks cute. It's a fun look. Unless it's a close friend. Then I say that shirt is fugly!

I did really like your bag. I'd tell you the truth. I think we're at the point where we can be honest. And you can't hit me from behind a computer! Blowing-kisses

I tend not to lie, it makes me very uncomfortable to the point of neurosis. Therefore I am sparing with compliments unless I mean what I say, which people tell me is a positive trait in a twisted fashion. Basically when I say something they know I mean it as truth.
Thank god I am oblivious to the opinions of others while caught in the blinding splendor of my own cleverness.
