That's great! How are you feeling about that? Excited?

Why do you have to move every year? Better to be settled permanently and have a strong base.

I'm leaving Yuma and heading home on Friday.

I'm gonna miss the charity Really Tight Hat contest, this Saturday.

That's OK.

I probably couldn't have pulled it off.

Well, I had 2 options for houses, one was newly remodeled and beautiful and a little out of my price range, the other is a humble park house, but the price is so reasonable it is ridiculous.

I feel good about being able to stay up here for at least another year. I feel really good about having my own space. It is just 4 more miles away, but it still feels like a long ways away from everyone. I've been spoiled living so close to town and others.
I can't wait to spend my first night there.
I will seriously miss that cat-maybe I spoiled him so much they won't want him! I am fine not having a cat right away-I will be so busy this summer it wouldn't be fair to keep a cat indoors that long, its too hot and no AC.

A year ago I moved to a National Park for a job. I am not working for the park but another entity. There are very little housing options up here. A nice family let me stay in thier house/cabin since they were not going to be moving back full time until this summer.
So I lived there and occasionaly had to deal with them visiting. It was a fair trade off. Drove me crazy sometimes, but it was a nice place.

I still have my apartment in town-I never got rid of it since I didn't have a long term plan for this place. I am here for the experience mostly.

The only way to get here is by boat. It is pretty isolated. About 100 people live here year round and then in the summer it fills with tourists and hikers and summer cabin holders.

I watched this YouTube video where this woman has this yacht and she travels and stuff. So anyway she got this job in Canada on an island she has to take care of and it is remote and isolated sort of like what you are describing. She really likes her life and doesn't feel isolated. There are people who live on other islands close there in this part of Canada and they can help if she has a medical emergency or something. It is a life that is outside of the box, I couldn't do it, but I found watching it, and learning about how this lady lives extremely fascinating and interesting.

I find it interesting when Love Child talks about it too.

Blowing-kisses

I feel pretty carefree and adventurous, but then I meet people who did actually sell everything and they travel around or they move up here completely-I haven't done that yet. But also I am not in the same situation as they are.
