Something their whacky agenda fails to address. I think over the Summer Pelosi being the one that feels she should decide and they will abide starts to realise this will calm the dogs of extremism like AOC and the current candidates. If she doesn't they're fucked. She will extend the leash a bit before yanking it back as they like walking in lockstep. Time will tell. If they want to win 2020 they will have to move towards the middle.  No way around it.

What are your suggestions for republicans?

Well they could offer all kinds of free stuff to everyone then forget about it after the election like the Dems do or they could do something about lowering the government student loan interest rate. I know many people have an instant gratification need today but things never move at the speed attention deficit mutants need to keep sane. Things take time. i think Trumps policies will play out and most will realize the negative media dog & pony show for what it is at some point.

I don't have anyone to really like yet, I guess the next 2 years will take care of that. I don't like Amy, once I heard she treated her staff like shit I was done. People need to be a decent individual, that matters to me.

I like Joe Biden. I don't like Joe Biden.

if the libs keep beating on the moderates, how long will it take for the moderates to leave the party?

only 19 defections are needed, 24 are not toeing the line.

did you read the article? those are not my words ...

Quote:While the party’s left wing has gotten outsize attention for its aggressive moves to push Democrats in their direction, the splinter faction is made up of the party’s moderates — many of them freshmen taking their first congressional votes.

They insist they are not going to be dissuaded from voting with their districts, and many are warning that majority control is at stake.
“It’s this class of members that got elected that are the reason we have the majority,” said Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-Fla.), a co-chairman of the moderate Blue Dog Coalition. “Many of them come from these [moderate] districts, and their promise to their constituents was that they were going to put people over politics.”

the game is changing, Pelosi is between a rock and a hard place. Many Dems, me included, are not happy with the direction of the party. If they continue on this course there will be consequences.

This is exactly what happen to establishment pubs; just ask John Boehner.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the far right's worst nightmare. Smiley_emoticons_smile

A really smart, passionate, young and idealistic left wing Latina woman who knows how to have fun trolling dinosaurs while pushing her progressive agenda.

She's not presidential material at this point and isn't running for President in 2020.

She simply represents the Bronx in Congress, though the dinosaurs hang on her every word and attempt to make her the leader of the Democratic party more than anyone else.  They're  really empowering her.

Anyway, I think Beto O'Rourke and Joe Biden are probably the biggest threats to Trump in 2020, and possibly Bernie.  Kamala Harris has a better chance than Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar, or Kirsten Gillibrand......in my opinion.  But, as we learned in 2016, anything is possible.

There is two big reasons why this is patently ridiculous and ideological dishonesty.

Firstly - You have no idea what the far right thinks. The Far Right is a probably around 50000 or less US citizens about 0.00016% of the population and you are wondering about them? The fringe Neonazi, white supremacist hate groups? What would THEY think of her? They would dismiss her out of hand but not less than they would dismiss any black person or Jewish person. They spread their hate pretty generally and they would not fear her but they would hate her.

But see you and I know when you say "Far Right" you do not mean "Far Right" you mean Right. Far only in the distance from your own Far Leftist ideology NOT Far from Centre. You use Far Right to describe ALL Conservatives and probably Libertarians, Centrists and Classical Liberals. "Far Right" and "Alt Right" have become the staple smear of Fuckwitted Progressives to categorise ANYONE markedly and expressly differing in belief than them.

That is what YOU are doing HoTD. Nothing more, nothing less.

Secondly, whilst the Far Right (the ACTUAL Far Right) Might generally hate her or dismiss her, most of the right of Progressives do not really know how to take her. I mean she is a spectacle and as dumb as a box of rocks. But do we encourage and support her stupidity and laugh under our breath OR do we openly point and belly laugh at her stupid. How do we provide enough balance between pretending to take her seriously enough that she keeps doing what she is doing but still make sure that we can point out and share the spirit of joy and laughter after all of her truly insane ideas?

Nowhere in what I described from either the Right of Progressives or the Far Right is likely to be too concerned or have a more heightened concern than normal about her.

So being that you are completely bullshitting, I have to ask the question, why are you projecting on others motives, intent, desires or emotions of people you do not understand over something that they obviously do not feel? Seems pretty stupid but I am sure you have a great reason. Love to hear it.

Yes she has something for everyone. But no one is clutching their pearl over her and it is a pretty silly reading. Isn't it Duchess?

I see her as something akin to the lowball comedy. Not terrible comedies but you known Phobie from Friends or Gareth from the Office or Fran Dresher from The Nanny or slightly zany Monty Python characters. Slightly weird, slightly off-kilter and just amusing. I think she has missed her vocation. It was never politics and likely not bartending.
