He is right. But, it was unnecessary for him to keep his knee there which is why the stupid fuck will be in jail probably until he dies now.

If it isn't authorized by the Use of Force guidelines then it should never be used. If it is, or was, how was it supposed to be used? If you don't know this, why would you conclude that "he was right"?
He is right, you shouldn't give a cop a reason to put his knee on your neck. But if you do, then the cop should take his knee off once you are handcuffed and restrained, which he was. What if it was a taser instead of his knee? Once he was tasered and restrained, would it be appropriate or necessary for the cop to continuously taser the fuck out of him until he died?
Did Chauvin have his knee on Floyd's neck before he was cuffed? I doubt it. And what is the applicability of "resisting arrest" when you're dealing with someone that has mental health issues and/or is intoxicated?
The main problem is the limitation of liability. When you shield people from the consequences of their actions you're asking for trouble -- big trouble. Chauvin isn't overly stupid. He's the product of a broken system that exists to maintain order, and has little to nothing to do with justice, and Democrats and Republicans alike bear responsibility for it's brutal excesses.

Chauvin is very goddamn stupid. The guy was begging for him to stop and so were the bystanders, if I were the cop I'd take my fucking knee off him at that point.

I read that he had several complaints filed against him prior to this. I think he's always been a dickhead, he even looks like one. Another cop would have just taken his knee off of him once he was handcuffed face down and obvious that he's not a threat to anyone. Unfortunately for Floyd he got this cop.

Hell no, because if he had he wouldn't have gotten Daley's blessing to run for president.

The last thing Daley did for his constituents was sell 75 years worth of parking revenue for a cool billion dollars in cash to fund his final sweetheart budget for his special friends. After he left office he became a "consultant" for the same corporation that gave him that billion dollar payoff. So it's no wonder at all that the lunatics are running the asylum now, because everyone who *could* leave did so as quickly as they could. When I left 6 years ago Chicago's bond rating was downgraded to junk status. It's every bit as fucked as Detroit, and then some.

Mostly it has to do with the fact that the people who most frequently come into contact with police are poor folk, and blacks are disproportionately poor. Racism is a factor, for sure, but I think it has much more to do with class, meaning this is largely about economics.

I'm merely pointing out that Chauvin is to some extent a convenient scapegoat who's been sacrificed so corporate marxists can curry favor with the same people they've been terrorizing with these sorts of violent goons for a great many decades.
