I suppose that could go with the riddle. I don't think consuming ice is anymore popular this time of year than others, but you do see it outdoors. And my ice usually comes out of the dispenser in uniform shape, but I can switch it to crushed.

Clues:

~This happened indoors~

~These are super popular this time of year~

~Focus on the kitchen~

~You have to keep this cold~

~These come in all different sizes~

I've listened to the clue countless times at this point and I just know I'm going to feel stupid when the riddle is solved.

It sorta sounds like liquid at the very end. Ugh.

I think it has something to do with boots. Stomping ice off your boots maybe.

I hope this isn't another one of those things that we never get the answer for.

I think I heard this one a couple of years ago. A radio station had a new sound each week.

Sounds like it is opening a bag of chips, but that could happen anywhere, any time of year. Or crushing something that is in a package that has air in it.......

Or ice cube tray.

It is also the sound of a pen being driven over with studded tires in the drive thru at the bank.

Sounds like twisting an ice cube tray and the cubes falling into a plastic container.
