We went to one last night where they bring out seven surprise courses. Of course two of the courses were lamb and duck which I don’t love no matter how it’s prepared. The king trumpet mushroom ravioli with shaved black truffle and champagne buerre blanc was heavenly, however. They also brought out a day boat tuna carpaccio flown in from Hawaii which was amazing. It was fun regardless of the lamb and duck, I just gave mine to my daughter. She eats anything.

No, I've never done that. It sounds like an experience. I'm glad you're finding something to enjoy on your vacation.

Never done that. But went to an all you can eat sushi restaurant tonight. Wasabi. The Octopus, squid, calamari, salmon, scallops and everything was amazing and very delicious.

I’ve done a pile of degustations. The best one was at Tetsuya Wakuda’s restaurant. 18 courses with matched wines over six hours. It was $775/head, but worth every fucking penny

I want to try the Japanese omakase which is like that, but I don’t know how many courses of raw fish I can eat and I think they consider it rude if you don’t finish every plate. And they pair it with Sake, I’ll be drunk and puking up puffer fish.
