HOW DO YOU RELAX?

I find it hard to relax because once I begin to chill I berate myself for wasting time. I have this bitch in my head that just won't shut up. What do you do to relax?

Smoke weed or cigars, concerts, Cornhole, garage sales and comic cons, sleep.

Our personality types Duchess have intuition as a first function, that means it scans constantly, it never stops, the voice in your head will never stop. Its not a bad thing its a good thing. I have a running commentary all day, and i enjoy it, my last function is judging, it tells me about whats happening, it tells me what to do, having built up a matrix of understanding over my life time. I can see things coming, not because im psychic but because i have been in that situation a million times before.

The slighest grimace, movement, expression tells me everything about a person, etc. Its what you do with that voice, that perception, its like watching a film, but you can pick the film you want to see. Like the song in the sound of music, think of something nice, you are in control, yoiu can choose your thoughts.

So to relax, change the programme.

What i do to relax is listen to lectures on you tube, watch astronomy videos, anything that i can learn something from, go to football matches, read, go to the pub, my guess is that your a home person, i keep meaning to start painting. I meditated three times a week for a month in my thirties and it did me a world of good, why i dont do it now i dont know. Its because the voice in my head is enjoyable. This makes me wonder what my intuition would say in a meditative state.

One of the causes of an inability to relax is because you have a problem that may be subconscious, a problem you havent faced up to and confronted.

Theres countless videos on how to quieten the mind and meditate, and on INFP personality types and how to handle your problem, find one that suits you. Be still, and see what your mind throws up.

Its as effective as psychotherapy. Your welcome.

I feel like I should always be doing something or I don’t feel productive so it’s hard for me to relax. Plus I’m just a fidgety person. I did sit down yesterday and look through a cookbook I bought years ago and never got around to reading until now. I guess you could consider that relaxing.

Relaxation tapes are a good way to feel how it feels to be relaxed, the more you do it, the easier it gets.  Your parasympathetic system, or whatever its called is pumping hyped chemicals into your blood, you can turn those taps off.   Pumping adrenaline or whatever has become automatic. 

Something like imagining going down an escalator, the deeper you go the more relaxed you become, and then arrive into a world that has been created by you, with Tom Cruise, Ryan Reynolds waiting to do your bidding.     

Relaxation is not about external stuff like alcohol, cigars, drugs, movies, whatever, its inside, gaining control of your thoughts and emotions is how to solve ANY problem.

Like this, ive been off alcohol for two weeks now, and have no intention of starting again, like you Sally.  Well done.

Relaxation tapes are bullshit. I tried those and feminization hypnosis tapes. Didn't feel relaxed or more girly or turned into a biological woman.

Sally once said something similar about me, I can't recall exactly what it was, but I recall the feeling and it made my day. I'm not telling that cranky old bitch that tho.

Whenever you and I have free time. Let's coordinate. Let's make the meet up happen. I could possibly pencil you in for a few days the first week of October. I would need to make sure that vacation time is approved first though.
