I normally like silence
I seek it out
But today when I got home it was too quiet. I have a show playing in the background just to drown out the LOUDNESS OF THE SILENCE!!!!
Do you prefer quiet or noise? (Why do I think most here will say background noise, with the exception of 2)

I like background noise when I’m in the house doing stuff, but when I go to sleep I like it dark, cold and silent.

I like both. Sometimes it's nice to soak in the silence and sometimes noise is good. Like tonight at the Empire State Plaza Food Festival. They were playing alot of blues and funk music. The food was good too. Had a big bratwurst with sauerkraut, curry sauce and mustard. A chicken empanada, and toasted smoreos marshmallow icecream with a chocolate swirl and chunks of Graham crackers and oreos.

When I’m in the house doing stuff I like stupid shit on the TV that I would never sit down and watch, like Maury Povich. I don’t really want to watch it, I just want to hear in the background who the baby’s daddy is. The Price is right, I dream of Jeannie, whatever….

There are many days I don't turn on the TV until I go to bed, nor do I tell Alexa to play my favorite tunes. I don't mind the silence at all, but there are also days where I like to listen to music or the television as I'm puttering around.

My hubs likes background noise at night, but I don't, so he sleeps with a headset on. He also snores, but we have one of those adjustable beds, and if I raise it a couple of inches, it stops the snoring.
