No, it's my understanding that it's an in-house (Apple) web crawler. It's all over the the internet searching for any & all information that might be asked for through Siri. It doesn't need to be requested, it just stores the information until such time, if ever, it's asked for.

So Alexa and siri really is listening to our conversations.    I used to laugh at people,  when they said that....
