SELF CHECKOUT

Do you have that option where you shop? Do you like it?

I'm moved to ask after reading people complaining about it.

I love it. I’m ten times faster than those slackers and even know all the codes and everything now. Occasionally I’ll sneak in a little something something like a bulb of garlic if you know what I mean. They want me looking up some damn bulb of garlic from god knows where, fuck you that bitch is going to bypass.

I check myself out all the time.

It was well recieved at one of the local stores which usually only had 2 chekers at any given time.

There are times I don't feel like talking to humans and love to use it. There are times I want to talk to a human and I don't want to do the work.

I prefer a store that is well staffed.

It also empowers me. I saw the code the lady put in to approve my beer and I approve my own damn beer now. Sometimes I steal some shampoo or garlic or something, but I’m doing the work and fuck Publix. They’re lucky I don’t steal more than that.

I found out the code the supervisor used to approve beer when I was a cashier at Price Chopper. I'm lucky I didn't get fired. I've stolen some water when I forgot it on the bottom my cart. Deli cold cuts too when they won't scan.

If you have to ring the shit up yourself and the shit won’t scan then you just toss that bitch in the bag. Everyone is in a hurry and it ain’t no time to be playing goody two shoes for Jesus. Ain’t nobody got time for that shit and the grocery store knows it.

I've noticed that some people have strong feelings about self checkout and there's not much of a middle ground. They either really love the convenience of it or they complain they are doing a job. In regards to the self checkout at Walmart the common complaint is that they are forced (and trusted) to do their checkout and yet they are expected to stop and have their receipt looked at as if they aren't trusted.

Except Walmart. You need to watch out for the self appointed receipt police that won't let you leave unless you show them your receipt.

Loathe self-checkout when you have idiot families with two full shopping carts, with kids in tow, hogging all the scanners.

15 items or less, assholes!

Yeah, Beaners . . . I'm talking to you!

I don’t go to Walmart, I go to Publix where shopping is a pleasure and nobody gives a shit. My Publix has an actual bar where people sit around and get drunk. They only serve craft beer though which is too heavy for me so I’ll usually get a glass of wine and drink that while I’m shopping and stealing little things.

The self check out lines in this store don't have a limit.

There are several grocery stores in my area who hire . . . (how do I state this without sounding insensitive) . . . the mentally and physically challenged . . . as grocery baggers.

Even if I have only a couple of items, I will use the cashiers, when these baggers are present.

Talk about hard working!  These young adults give their everything despite their physical, social and mental obstacles.

They inspire and humble me.

And I make sure to thank them, by their name, for being helpful and considerate.

They’re all retarded at Publix. Even the ones who haven’t been declared retarded.

Self checkout at Market32 has no limit. I'm one of those idiots with a half full shopping cart of way more than 15 items. The line is usually long but I've heard no complaints from customers about the amount of groceries I buy.

Mmmm....craft beer.....sounds like my kind of store. I've also heard good things about Costco and Buc-ee's.

We have a Buc-ee’s and the gas is cheaper and the food is way better than your average gas station, but the line to get in there is ridiculous most times of the day.
