(CNN) -- Former NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe was on a flight that went down in Alaska, according to EADS North America, where he is the chief executive officer.
There was no word about his status.
"Sean O'Keefe, EADS North America's CEO, was a passenger on a private aircraft that crashed in Alaska last night. Local authorities are reporting that there are survivors and a rescue operation is under way. No other details are available at this time," said Guy Hicks, EADS North America spokesman.
The National Transportation Safety Board assembled a team to probe the Monday night plane crash in Alaska.
The agency said on Tuesday the plane crashed near Dillingham and cited reports that say five of the nine people on board died. Earlier, the Alaska Air National Guard statement said there were some apparent survivors and "potential fatalities."
Senior air safety investigator Clint Johnson, from the NTSB's Anchorage regional office, will be the investigator in charge, and the entire team is expected in Dillingham by mid-day.

Former NASA administrator Sean O'Keefe survived an airplane crash in remote Alaska that killed former U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens and four others, the company where O'Keefe serves as chief executive officer said Tuesday.
Ralph D. Crosby Jr., chairman of EADS North America, said, "It was with a great sense of relief and gratitude that we learned that Sean, and his son, Kevin, survived the aircraft crash in Alaska. We extend our deepest sympathy to the families of those less fortunate in this terrible accident. We owe a debt of gratitude for the heroic efforts of the members of the rescue crew and others who rushed to the scene."

That's the defining point of a new-ish relationship, isn't it?
When your girl is comfortable enough to say "I'm gonna put my jammies on" and it's like late afternoon/early evening - just home from work time - and then when it's the weekend she spends the whole fucking day in her janmmies - "awww - just go to the shop for me and get x, y, z - I can't cos I'm not dressed and I'll have to do my hair, make-up, etc, etc and you wouldn't want to force me to do that, would you? purrrr-leeeeze!"

I hissed at a small child in the supermarket. Yeah, I did. It's bitch of a mother was letting her kids run wildly around, they were screaming & fighting, opening all the bins in the bakery, etc. The lil' bastards were pissing me off, the mother did nothing, she wasn't even around, so I hissed at him. It worked so well, I'd do it again in a New York minute.
