KARMA
#1

Do you believe in karma? I hear some people talk about it almost like it's a religion. I think that people probably reap what they sow but, I don't look at that as karma. Is it real or is it a ridiculous concept?

well it is a religion. or a concept in a religion. i'm not sure i believe in the constant reincarnation needed to achieve perfection, the steps or lifetimes as a cockroach one needs to go through to pay for or be rewarded for past lives.
but i do think "what goes around comes around" is fairly accurate. i think that's what most people mean when they say they believe in karma.

I can only hope it's real and it causes the hags tits to sag to the ground for letting newbies out of newbie hell because they post a photo. forcing the rest of us to suffer soup chicken crap and filling the forum with soup chicken posters should be worth at least that much Karma.
Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

Yes I believe in karma. You DO get what you give. The one thing I hate though is sometimes I don't get to see the person get what they deserve. But I know they will.

I've been having an ongoing debate about this with some people. I have trouble in believing that karma exists because of the awful things that happen not only to wonderful people but, to innocent people like babies & children. Where's the karma for the Mom & daughters who were murdered {LC's thread}, where's the karma for the children that are snatched, sodomized & killed. Bad people lead full, rich lives, where's the karma in that?

i said something similar to someone once, a super intelligent and spiritual friend of mine. his reply (and i haven't completely accepted it yet) was that we don't know what the persons who have suffered were like in a past life, and they may be paying back for horrible things they did. and that explains why innocent babies are born into terrible circumstances. or seemingly good people have tragic endings. that they may have once been vlad dracula or jack the ripper or attila the hun or a concentration camp guard. they have to do penance in the form of many rebirths and work their way up to a good life.

If you think about life, it's very short no matter how long we live... cancer, disease, suffering, and misery happens to all of us in one way or other. It's inevitable, and the way it happens is no better than the next. Karma is about what happens to your innerself. Pleasant people have pleasant lives no matter what lifes circumstances are, and vice versa for nasty people.

Thats what I always liked about Mock.... If it were up to me, your life would be filled with fresh baked pheasant bread stuffed with tender slabs of smoked rotisserie meats and fresh tomatoes and peppers picked by an italian goddess.

You may not be aware of this but, there is a recipe thread in here somewhere, maybe down in the "Good Shit" forum.

I never, EVER dreamed I would be saying those words in regard to Mock.
