America is based on freedom, it is by those freedoms that this Mosque debate rises from.

Should it be an option, yes

Should it be the vote of the people that decides this, (yes in an ideal world)

Will it come to be, most likely

Is the timing and location less than comfortable, sure

Did the US support the "freedom fighters" of Afghanistan when they were at war with Russia, yes

Would it be a different world had John Kennedy survived and completed his mission to do away with the CIA, yes

and on and on it goes. Point being is that the common man has little real voice in what happens in this world, the powers that be will carry on as they see fit. Like it or not.... there will be a mosque built in NYC

The Florida preacher asshole said that part of the reason he called off the burning was because the Imam (or what ever the Muslim leader is called) in Florida talked with his counterpart in NY and they are going to "move the NY mosque". Thing is..no one told anyone in NY about this one..and the Imam in NY said he would not have spoken to anyone today because the holiday is coming to an end.
